We are delighted to announce that the University of Macau has been invited to participate in the prestigious Harvard-Yenching Institute’s Visiting Scholars Program for the academic year 2025-26. The Institute of Advanced Studies has been entrusted with the task of selecting applicants for this program.

The Harvard-Yenching Visiting Scholars Programme (Harvard-Yenching) offers faculty members in the Humanities and Social Sciences the opportunity to undertake 10 months of study and research at Harvard University. Candidates’ fields of research in the humanities and social sciences to be considered are as follows. Scholars whose research focus is comparative, and includes one or more Asian countries, are especially welcome.

The Harvard-Yenching Institute will offer a scholarship covering the round-trip economy-class airfare and a monthly stipend. All full-time teaching faculty members who have served at the University for at least three years and are working in the humanities and social sciences with an emphasis on cultural study are eligible for application.
