The first IHUS Cluster Meeting 2022-2023 was held at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (IAS) on 27 October 2022. In this regular luncheon meeting of IAS, Prof. Lin Shaoyang first gave a welcome speech to the IAS Fellows. Afterwards, the IAS Fellows took turns to briefly introduce and exchange their research fields and interests.
In the meeting, Prof. Rostam J. Neuwirth was the first to bring a keynote speech on “Law, Language, Technology and the Perception of Time”, regarding contradictions and paradoxes of space and time crossing over into the fields of law, language authenticity and artificial intelligence. The presentation was followed by Prof. Richard Fitzgerald, who shared the new research on “The Emerging Contours of Digital Society: Remastering, Reconsideration, Reorientation and New Socio-Digital Domains”, a work that brings together cutting-edge social science research and theoretical insights into the emerging contours of the digital society.
